The Importance of Acting Your Age
A common phrase that is used quite frequently, but I don't agree with is you can't teach an old dog new tricks. You'll often hear people who are older or maybe middle age say, hey, I'm no spring chicken. It's self deprecating, meaning it's making fun of yourself. The last phrase is one that my mother said to me so many times growing up and she added her own twist on it as well. Act your age, not your shoe size.
