The NISC Era of Quantum Computers

Richard Stallman: NISC was a term coined by the physicist Don Preskall, stands for noisy intermediate scale quantum devices. He says after decades of effort, I'd say we're finally in the early vacuum tube era where you have components that are not truly scalable. But with little or no error correction, you might be able to do something useful, he says. And it just directly maps onto the architecture of your quantum computer.
