Wildlife Conservation and Coexistence with Outdoor Recreation

Exploring the potential conflict between outdoor recreation activities and wildlife conservation, this chapter presents a study that examined the impacts of hiking and hunting on wildlife abundance. Findings reveal that while these activities had minor effects, habitat quality, forest connectivity, housing density, and agriculture were the key factors influencing wildlife populations.
