The Role of Climate Change in Hanson's Disease
12 of Florida's 26 cases of Hanson's disease occurred in Brevard County, or 46%. Armadillos have actually been shown to be carriers of this particular bacteria. Public health has to continue to work closely to try to understand where did these cases come from? And at this point, we just don't know.
