The Life of Etius Aetius

Aetius had been born around three 90 in moesia. He was the son of a prominent dacian soldier and an aristocratic roman mother. The exchange of hostages between allies, usually children, was an ancient tradition. Etius lived with these huns for an indeterminate amount of time before he followed his father into the army.
