The Supreme Court of Japan - Is This Racist?
Korematsu was arrested on suspicion of being Japanese. His family in fact had already been relocated. He stayed behind and he was charged with defying that new federal law, which made it a crime to ignore a military relocation order. The court tries to explain that this is not about racial prejudice. This is about protecting ourselves from the dastardly Japanese.
