In a Parliament, They Don't Have Too Much Power

In your book, you point out how politicians' religious posturing in a parliament is just theatre. People vote for an empe or emila with the expectation that the politician will help solve their everyday issues stop court. One of the things that struck me, and i shouldn't say it's poignant, is what one could call the legislatore paradox. Even at the local level, they don't have too much power. This is why government needs to be really as local as possible.
