The more you ignore it, the larger it will grow. And if you ignore it long enough, then it will turn into something large enough to eat you. I read in Harper's magazine at one point that people would rather be mugged than audited. The audit, that's like a semi-fatal disease. So that's chaos. That's also the chaos that whatever is being represented in Genesis as the Spirit of God extracts order out of at the beginning of time. And it's also that which we're constantly contending with as we struggle in the same manner to construct and maintain habitable worlds.
