Every other part is a character just constantly referencing something. Even if you're being caustic, even if you are being insincere, you have to be sincerely insincere. I think that they tried to make Velma a little unlikable at first because she's out to prove something,. But there's another... There's a girl dies and the other random woman we don't really know is giving a speech about how usually when a slutty girl dies in TV, we think it's her fault. Who asked for that comment to be at this point? It's just so odd because they aren't jokes. You're just saying things you think other TV shows do.
