The Power Status of Gender in the Modern World

The idea that gender could lie on the spectrum in reality societies right throughout the world for all of time have grappled with these uncertainties. None of us really or very few of us sit very comfortably within the stereotypes that society expects us to sit within so even in ancient Greece which was a very oppressive society for women this tension has always been there and I think what that betrays is the fact that this isn't perfect the system was never perfect when we introduce gender as an organizing principle on people we are asking them to live in an unnatural way they might not actually follow.
