The Resting of the Spirit

In Numbers 11, you'll see it behind me, beginning in verse 24, Moses goes out and he tells the people the words of the Lord. He brought 70 men from the elders of the people, had them stand around the tent. As the spirit rested on them, they prophesied but they never did it again. And so this little desire, this wishful thinking of Moses, prophetic as it may be hangs over the entire narrative of the story of Israel.
