In 2004, the Berlin and Brandenburg state ministry's grant approval for a new airport in Gänbeja. The problem with this location is that it's next to a bunch of villages who suddenly find out that they're going to have lots more planes taking off in front of them. They sue these two years of lawsuits from 2004 to 2006. And so the eventual settlement is that there have to be fewer people under the takeoff and approach paths as the old three airports combined.
