Is the Franco Prussian War Still Relevant to Day?

The battle of god on august sixth, when e prussians, barbarians and wurtenberg troops on against franc the french troops was an enitiation for for e feeling of being one nation. And maybe without this battle, it would have been very more difficult to create something like a a common national identity on the battlefield.
