What's a Circle in the Plane?
Take a smooth closed curve C in the plane, these conditions are equivalent. But what happens if instead of a plane, we look at some other manifold? See here, link in post for some discussion. Heading random paths is an idea that can be stitched together to create nice graphs. Mandala mandalas have eightfold rotational symmetry near the center and 16 fold around the outer rim. The inner purple petals on Oakland ward have 28 fold and then 32 Fold symmetries. We could even allow reflections, giving us D16 Ward which has 24 fold and then more folds than normal.
