Dr Kay: London is very important at every stage, and it is a kind of bellwether of the views of the nation. The fall of the Republic is very much connected to the view of, of Londoners. And by the end of the 1650s, you've got this really big population of people who might as well be arguments about the Armada. So, so London is really, really important.
