Mastodon's Failed Strategy for Monetization

In the next month or two probably is uh whether or not it keeps going the way it's going or if it goes off when people are like okay that was fun for a while and now i'm going back to whatever i was doing before. The creators of mastodon really embrace the federatedness of it the federation they they want a robust ecosystem of many instances to thrive. They have not revealed a monetization for blue sky right strategy yet particularly so that's another shoe that's waiting to be dropped on the whole thingright there's a sort of here we go againYeah yeah that's how we got into this problem in the first place right exactly twitter used to be nothing but fun too
