The Importance of Manufacturing in the United States

I think that labor intensive manufacturing is something the United States has no advantage in. It would be inefficient and uncompetitive if we were to try to do manufacturing in that way With the cost structure that we have here in america, it's not happening. The reason we want to revitalize manufacturing is for technology and for export not for mass employment That makes sense, but going back to mass employment.
