The car has shaped our environment, in terms of town planning and where we can go. The distances that you can cover in a car are just vastly, vastly different to what's possible on a bicycle. And so the 20th century would not have been able to happen, to unfold in the way that it has. But I think they may be correlated, but the car did not cause all of these things to happen.
