What Makes Christmas Movies So Popular?

We're also really intrigued by another article that came out more recently called what makes Christmas movies so popular. Could you tell us a little bit about Christmas film as ritual how does that operate why is that sort of an interesting way of looking at this? I think part of it is you know ritual studies 101 we do one main type of ritual are the seasonal or calendrical rituals and things that happen on a weekly basis or a monthly basis or a yearly basis or something like that. It has its place there it's something we do one time a year and it's in a ways it's special because it's only one times a year to watch these things once a year.
