How to Reach a Really High Level in a Foreign Language

After benefiting so much from the all Japanese all the time blog, I wanted to go on to spread these ideas more because the blog wasn't very popular. The process of learning to understand both spoken and written language happens through a combination of getting a lot of input from real authentic native sources combined with using a space repetition system. And that's basically what I did with Japanese. I just jumped into real authentic content. That's all I really learned from. And I was able to progress really quickly. We're also now working on ways to make the process smoother by making it easier to use tools like pop-up dictionaries or flashcards.
