How Much Can You Convert With a Process Like This?

Owen Reissner and his work describing that discovery has just come out in the journal Nature Synthesis. The solar energy provides the energy and then we need the catalysts these materials that can really accelerate these chemical reactions. We have produced probably 10 billion tons of plastics since the 50s so there's still some scale up that is required in the next couple of years. To really make this a meaningful process this will mean multi-million investments from companies, governments, stakeholders to really get to the scale stability and efficiencies that are being needed.
