How did the constitutional rate to a healthy environment come about? Well this was just another one of those opportunities the government decided that they would look at the constitution. I wanted to protect the nature that I grew up with and that I think everybody should have a chance to grow up with. So I put forward the arguments for having it in the constitution and I sent it to the committee. And actually what they did was to adopt entirely the provisions from South Africa which I think was a good move to do at the time.
