The only reason that we have the biblical texts today is because they were passed down over the generations. Who was it that was passing on these traditions once they come to be written down? We simply don't know what i would stress is that we should not assume that any of these texts were well known beyond a very small circle of of scribes, says Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.
