The Importance of Long-Term Security in the Wake of the Pandemic
Professor Dame Jenny Harries is head of the UK Health Security Agency. She says we can't predict what the next major public health incident is going to be. The scientific community seems ready to jump into action again, if or when another crisis hits us. In 2020, government, science and industry came together when a crisis demanded it. We'll still be missing key bits of infrastructure and key bits of capacity. Whether we can patch them together as we had to do last time, I think is an interesting question.
