How to Balance Word and Spirit in a Congregation

How do you have a church that's balanced in word and spirit? Here's my answer. You have to overstep a little bit on each side and balance it with a response that comes from the contrasting side. I often think of bicycle riding this way. Bicycles go forward because you press down with only one leg. It's much more about hearing the Word of God spoken in that inner voice projected on that little tiny movie screen inside your own head.
