Raffiti Sonata by Mack McKay

Mack McKay's 2011 Stoker-nominated story is from dark discoveries and is entitled Raffiti Sonata. He currently writes full-time and lives in the Napa Valley with his wife Kay. For a moment after McKay opened the door of his Oakland apartment and saw a lease standing there, he felt his spirit surge. In the next instant, he realized his wife hadn't brought their daughter Ty along, only some folded up cardboard boxes under her arm. His elation faded.
