God Mode was started by Nick Sylvester, who is one of the OG guys from Pitchfork. He and his partner just wanted to put out music as a reason to throw another party. The first file on my capital computer happened to be an unsolicited demo by an artist that kind of became our first God Mode artist. And basically it just that artist and that project kind of became the catalyst to what God Mode is today.
