What Is the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible?

Joseph smith began an ambitious programme to revise the biblical text in june of 18 30. It was not a literal word for word translation fancient languages from a manuscript, but more of an inspired revision or paraphrase based on the king james version in english. There are places where there's dramatic differences, additions, even some deletions, but then there's other places where it's just a random word here there. And so it's certainly not consistent as far as the amount of treatment done on the text.
