The water companies were privatised with no debt, sort of 1989. They have now racked up 60.6 billion worth of debt and we're all paying for that interest. But at the same time they haven't invested in the infrastructure. There's insufficient capacity to treat this growing population sewage needs. Who will pay for it? The water companies have all the debt. Customer bills are already high enough. People are struggling.
