There's no space for Mal to have feelings that are complicated or to feel hurt by what's happened in the process. So should we move on to TIFF and Mildred's proposal? They're deeply fucking bleak. This is one that just is pretty bleak to begin with, but then is very much recontextualized about what happens later.
