The Third Aspect of Self
Buddhism doesn't deny the real of our individuality in any way. It requires us to embrace and be responsible for it through moral, compassionate and skilful conduct. Indivial individuality is part of what it means to be human or to be any form of life. According to buddhism, the most basic feelings are attraction, aversion and indifference. So we have feelings. This fundamental unit of life evolved with the instinct to preserve itself and then reproduce itself. If it hadn't, it would have died out long ago.
