What Is Interoperability?

The Indian way of thinking about digital private infrastructure is to create many players in the system that can offer the same thing and be compatible with each other. In India there are two elements to it, maybe a slightly long answer, but two elements to be one, idea is interoperability and the other idea is ownership and portability. The internet emerged in the mid 90s but it wasn't very useful. You couldn't shop, you couldn't find people, you couldn’t find friends, right? So all these intermediaries came in, Facebook, Google, etc. That's fantastic for the consumer in some ways. But now we're seeing kind of pushback here in the US
