Cloudflare has 10 second or turn 10 millisecond timeout you must reply that's reason Cloudflare is a pared down environment. Scheduled functions which don't run when somebody hits a URL in the browser but they run every 30 minutes or at two o'clock every morning those have a 30 second timeout. Most serverless functions tap out at 10 seconds so if you need to fetch a bunch of data and you need to wait 10 seconds between the two then you have to split it over multiple functions. A lot of people said cold starts were an issue, which is essentially when you don't run a serverless function for a while. It will go to sleep on any server anywhere
In this episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk through some of the limitations of using serverless in your project.
