The Placebo Effect

A recent oxytocin trial done in teenagers found no effect on caregiver related behavior. But taking a closer look, they found that the caregivers who believed that their child received oxytocin reported significant improvements. That just seems to invalidate the opinion of caregivers. Yeah. So we've been talking the placebo effect. And I just want to give a quick, good illustration of the placebo effect from a, from a recent trial to show how much expectancy plays the role.
