The Decline of Numeracy

The use of calculators is now standard in most high school classrooms. Math, numeracy and multilingualism are all on the decline. We teach our children to write not at a high level but for the lowest common denominator. The appeal of my long format podcasts is very limited as compared to an eight minute YouTube video or a very short TikTok video.
