The Importance of Causality in Machine Learning

A lot of my work has been trying to translate that into machine learning terms. What does it mean in terms of algorithms? And why would it be a good thing from the point of view of machine learning and sample complexity? So for example, one nice property of high level condition is that it's able to deal with dependencies between high level concepts that are very sparse. Another interesting aspect of the way we think consciously is the whole causality aspect. That's also important for the ability to generalize out of distribution. We should have these systems that are able to override the well practice, well trained, not reflexive way of prediction or taking decisions.
