The Decline in Reported Victims of Hate Crimes Involving Sexual Orientation

From 1967 to the present, reported victims of hate crimes per unit of population has declined by 14%. That is in 1996, there was still the remnants of taboos against certain sexual orientations. And yet, despite that, that we're more apt to identify and report hate crimes today, the data still show that the reported crimes have fallen 14%.
