Introduction
When my kids were in elementary school, they had a week possibly around Christmas that they learned about various cultures of the world. The school devoted a day to sampling the breads and pastries of world cultures. So there was one thing on this table they could eat. Matsu, now unlike the other kids, they got a full size cracker of Matsu since nothing else in the line is certified kosher. And then this fourth grader has got to figure out how to do Nityla Siadaim, how to perform a ritual hand washing because for us, eating bread is a sacred act.
