The Importance of Science
Our senses don't provide us with accurate information. We need science. Science is about explaining what we see in terms of the unseen. My desk here made of wood, solid, continuous matter. It feels like, feels nice and smooth. But my senses are not going to be able to tell me that. And we had theories of atoms before we had scanning electron microscopes which could produce images for us. No image is possible, no way of seeing what is going on in the cent core of the sun. The core of the Sun is not directly observable but we know what's going on there because of our explanations big bang. So this is the a refutation of empiricism. Almost
