The Importance of Celebrating Women
When I was a child, lots of my role models and inspiration were sports women. Virginia-aid winning Wimbledon in the year of the Silver Jubilee is like a historic event for me. The 100 Years Women in Law project provided a perfect hook for me to dip my toe in that world of networking across the profession. As a senior woman within the government legal department, it was important for me to be more visible. And so I take that very seriously. To walk into Lincoln's in old hall to a predominantly full of women was actually easier than it might have been had it been a different makeup,. shall we say?
