When you say an idea comes to people, you don't just mean an idea in the sense of a kind of neuronal pattern of electrical activity. You literally mean something from the outside coming in. And every single human who is struck by inspiration describes the experience exactly the same way. It's a very mystical experience that's chills and dampness on the back of your neck or about to jump off a cliff.
