The genetics of theer, prehistoric populations in britain have three main streams to them. They are hunter gatherer cestry, early european farmer ancestry and step ancestry. And what we see in this period of the middle to late bronze age is a very significant increase in early Europaean farmer ancestry in southern britain. That has to be coming from the continent. But it doesn't have to be an event. It's a process that happens over a period of at least a couple of hundred years, and possibly a little bit longer.
