CHAPTER

The Problem With Superdeterminism

Superdeterminism tries to account for the measurement problem. We just cannot predict the outcome of a single measurement because there are variables involved that we don't measure, that we know nothing about. If you believe that your camera settings change the moon itself, then whatever your photo shows will be consistent with your theory. The photo is no longer an objective representation of the thing measured. It is now a representation of your experimental settings. Nothing is objective anymore. Everything depends on experimental settings,. Your experimental settings will change what things are via these hidden causal chains.
