The South Semitic Languages of the Middle East

At this point in the past round 12 hundred b c, it's likely that the south arabian languages and the ethiopian semitic lang s were one and the same. There was probably no real cultural or guistic distinction between the two sides of the red sea at this time. The most widely spoken aphro asiatic language would have been ancient egyptian which was spread throughout the nile valley and beyond. Bantu belongs to the niger congo family of languages, a loose and really ancient grouping that's native to west africa but to day, it spread all over Africa.
