How to Buy and Sell Cryptocurrencies on Gemini
Gemini matches buyers and sellers together to get a nice solid price for the asset. Customers on Gemini can enter limit orders and market orders just like on any marketplace that you would expect. They can also enter such orders as auction only. At 4PM we match as much buy interest with as much sell interest as possible. And the price at which that interest best matches is the auction price. The auction only orders typically make up the most volume in the auction because they haven't traded away in the normal continuous trading.
