The Intimate Union of Marriage
The intimate union of marriage, as it says here in 1646, as the mutual giving of two persons and the good of the children demands total fidelity from the spouses. In doing that, they are giving witness to who God is in this world. The church understands that there are some situations where living together becomes practically impossible. And yet at the same time, we recognize that doesn't mean husband and wife anymore.
