Appalachia is known for its abundant natural beauty, but it also has a history that runs of blood. European immigrants pushed, clawed, climbed, and massacred their way from the Atlantic coastline to the Appalachian Mountains. The area is primarily populated by folks of English, Scottish Irish, German, French, and Spanish descent.
