The Magic of Hail-Bop
For most of April, I was at a conference center in Lakey, Texas. To get to the conference center, you have to drive in the river. At night, there's nothing to dim the stars, there are no lights. So the sky is absolutely clear of pollution,. but there was hail-bop. And with ordinary pair of binoculars, this incredible tail swept like a heavily peacock across the sky.
