The net is fundamentally a conservative movie. It's 100% technophobic, right? Like I don't think they think that computers are social good at all. This does not improve anyone's day. And even our hero who is a person who understands computers and works with them is also negatively impacted by them. The last thing he tells his son is to lie to his mother about their deal. He just like basically the equivalent of swept it under the rug. So like that's gonna haunt that child, his entire life.
