Is Interlipid a Modified Release Drug?
Interlipid is a 20 percent intravenous fat emulsion and it's used as a source of fat and calories for patients requiring parenteral nutrition. Tox-based gives the indication that interlipid should be using cardiac arrest or in life-threatening cardiotoxicity with historically the treatment being for local anesthetic toxicity. The key things that you need to know from an emergency care perspective are so first of all you need toknow where your interlipids kept in your department and you need to known your initial start off bolus of what that would be.
